yah man they can handle it .. just depends how you like to ride really ... i like to feel everything .. makes tech trails a bit more challenging but the lighter frame makes it easier to be creative and to throw the bike around .. its nice to have a shorter travel bike too if you like to venture off on xc trails or for just riding around town or whatever

It’s time to pull out the big Guns in your freestyle skiing armada. The 2008 Salomon Teneighty Gun Ski is the twin-tipped symbol of the new freestyle culture. With a wide waist, stiff tail and full-width total edge reinforcements the 2008 Salomon Gun is cocked, loaded and ready to take on whatever the backcountry assaults you with this season—backed by the same award-winning construction that earned it fame. The generous sidecut will keep you floating high above the powder, negotiating turns as easy as pi (sidecut radius joke). The Salomon Gun also boasts Spaceframe and Monocoque Double Wall Fiberglass Construction, giving this ski incredible torsional rigidity while still keeping it lightweight and lively. Featuring all-new attention-getting graphics for 2008, you can really blow the brains out of the backcountry with the Salomon Teneighty Gun Ski—this freestyle felon has all your heli-skiing dreams in the crosshairs
